| The company was formed in 1985 when J.J. Altman (general contractors in Southern Illinois since 1937) joined with Charter Construction, Inc. (a leader in the construction industry in St. Louis for over 25 years). Altman-Charter has extensive experience in construction of Church facilities and Not-for-Profit organizations.
