Altman-Charter’s project management approach was a key factor in Christ Church Cathedral’s decision to renovate their historic structure. The building interior spaces were programmed to utilize existing spaces after basic accessibility, life safety and utility infrastructure decisions were finalized. The Locust Street exterior façade is part of the national Register of Historic Buildings and required careful planning and design detail in order to add a handicap access ramp to the building exterior.

A large area on the fourth floor known as Schuyler Hall is designed to be a large multi use meeting and performance space. The interior finishes capture the regal stature and tradition of the Episcopal Church’s Missouri Diocesan headquarters and cathedral. With newly designed full service kitchen facilities, ADA compliant restrooms and a theatrical production stage, the renovated space will accommodate a multitude of planned uses.
